I have dug this story out of the "closet" if you will, and wiped the dust off, and decided to take another crack at it.

However, I have made some changes.

WORKING TITLE: Final Conflict

BATTLE LINES:

Alliance

The two's, six's and eight's, along with three, Adama, Starbuck, Gaius, Roslin, Helo, Tigh and others (this group will be confirmed and adjusted as more is revealed about the nature of the "Fantastic Four" aboard Galatica).
This group believes that there can be a peace between humans and Cylons, and that they can co-exist.

Cylon Resistance

The Fours, Fives, Tory, and various others (see note above)
This group believes that humans are inferior, and either must accept that they are beneath Cylons, or be destroyed.

Human Resistance

Yet un-named members of the Galatica, and others.
This group believes that all skinjobs and toasters must be annihilated.

MAJOR CHANGES:
Renee/Gabrielle is not being brought into this story, for the following reasons-

Keeps the Cylon model number in concordance with the series.
Not stereotypical, and keeps in mind something that Renee said at a Con (the thing she hates most about acting is being typecast into the same type of role over and over again).
Keeps the present relationship between Gaius, Three, and Six intact. (To me, he cares deeply for both women, and they both care for him)
It stays truer to the series.

OUTLINE:

Prologue

D'Anna reunites with Six, and Gaius, who convince her to trust them.
Alliance meeting between all of the "featured players".

Main Story

Two years later
Two Cylon/Human hybrid infants are kidnapped by a Cylon who has gone rogue, in order to force the Hub to be rebuilt so that all Cylons may continue to download as before.
A rescue is originally attempted by a human, who has to be rescued, and is so, by a Cylon. Upon that event, the tentative and uneasy peace between both parties of the Alliance becomes affirmed.

Epilogue

Ten years later
Humans and Cylons have been peacefully co-existing for eight years.
Human children, and Human/Cylon hybrid children have been raised to believe they are all equals, and attend school together side by side.

PLOT FIXES:

After the Civil War, Six adopts the name Gina Inviere, because she wants to be referred to by a name, not a model number.
D'Anna's daughter is named Haven Grace Baltar.
Gina's daughter is named Prosper Hope Baltar
Gaius explains that the reason he had a house built for them the way it is, is because he loves and cares for both of them too much to decide between the two. Therefore he could not pick one over the other.
Gaius proposes to rebuild the Hub, and make modifications to it, that will only allow one copy of a model to be "online" at a time. It will also require a human and Cylon to be present at all downloadings, if the reason for the downloading is questionable, it will be put to a board made up of both Cylons and humans, and the existing copies will be implanted with a chip, that allows them to be tracked in the event they go rogue.
Haven and Prosper are the two kidnapped infants, and at the time Haven is 4 months, Prosper 2 months.
Gaius oversees the Hub, D'Anna oversees the Cylon Evolution Research Clinic, and Gina is on the HCA (Human Cylon Alliance) Advisory Panel.
Starbuck makes the first rescue attempt, knowing she has to give back, and perhaps her one act will help seal the alliance.
In the epilogue, Haven and Prosper attend the Thrace Biers Intergalactic Academy of Excellence. This was named after both women, who went above and beyond their duty to make sure the peace between Humans and Cylons remained intact

The rules in this game of tag are simple -- once you have been tagged, you must write a blog with ten weird, random things, little known facts or habits about yourself. At the end choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names.

I have an intense fear of the dark.
I have a large collection of video footage downloaded from Lucy and Renee's website, yet I've never watched any of them.
The same is said for some of their DVD stuff (Concerts, Movies, etc).
I made my first stage appearance at the age of 4.
When I write I tend to act my scenes out to figure out the best way for things to flow.
While I was getting into costume at the 2008 Con, I threatened to tattle on Renee to Lucy, if Renee wasn't impressed with my costume. What I thought Lucy was going to do about it, I have no idea.
I cannot, and will not leave the house without a shower, and washing my hair first.
I seem social at Cons, but I'm constantly worried about approaching people, because I feel as if I'm being a pest.
I have yet to muster the courage to ask Renee a question at Conventions, yet Lucy doesn't bother or intimidate me.
I saw the Spice Girls in concert twice when they were popular the first time around, in the late 90's. I was 18 at the time.

This is the persona I tend to be 90% of the time. Twink is loud, funny, creative, well known, and well cared about. Twink is also loyal to her friends, and family, and is a very nasty person when crossed.

The WXE is also well known, and highly respected. This is the persona that has the most pressure, as I have to be "on" all the time when I'm the WXE. I cannot show a moment's hesitation, as that's viewed as a sign of weakness amongst my fellow Xenites.

-+the minister's daughter+-

The persona I hate. The minister's daughter lives in a box. She's polite, well mannered, very articulate and well spoken, and lives on a pedestal. She has to hide who she really is, because she would be ostrasized from her entire community, and family if the truth came out.

The persona only a small handfull ever get to see. Aunt JJ is the "fun" aunt. She takes her nieces, nephews and godchildren to toy stores as an idea of an outing, and allows them to push all the buttons to see how something works, and to play with things while inside the store. She doesn't discipline mildly bad behavior (forgetting to use an inside voice, sneezing without covering a nose etc). She actually plays with them, and allows their imagination to run wild.

Sharing may be caring, but I don't so much care. The one thing I really hate sharing with other people, at times, is my Xena knowledge as the Walking Xena Encyclopedia.

Not because I think I'm better than everyone, or anything like that. I hate sharing it when the person doesn't believe me, because then I practically get put on trial, and expected to come up with all this concrete proof and so forth. And that's very annoying.

If you "ask Twink", because no one else knows, then you should take my answer at face value, because you came to me due to the fact that you couldn't find the answer elsewhere. Its really rude and unfair to turn around and throw it back in my face all because it's not the answer you were hoping/looking for.

Being sick, or in pain. I have such a low pain thresh-hold that even minor menstrual cramps become a huge friggin deal for me. And then I walk around upset at myself, because I don't like feeling this way about things. I feel like this huge wuss, and wonder why on gods green earth I cant pull myself together and just deal with it.

Like right now. Who the hell goes to the ER for a simple stomach ache? I did yesterday. I didn't stay because 3 hours after arriving I still hadn't been seen. So I went home, and I still have the stomachache, although my g/f and I are starting to believe its more stress related at this point than it is anything else. I tend to do that when I get stressed. I get a persistent stomachache, that doesn't go away until I can alieveate all the problems going on in my life that are stress related.

I've only seen the entire movie once, but I've seen the "20 Jokes" scene more times than I can count. What I love most is that he actually tells 25. When he asks how many he's told, the guy says "fourteen", when actually he'd told nineteen up until asking that.

Let's start with...

Obvious: 'scuse me, is that your nose or did a bus park on your face?

Meteorological: everybody take cover, she's going to blow! Fashionable: you know, you could de-emphasize your nose if you wore something larger, like... Wyoming.

Personal: well, here we are, just the three of us.

The Ole "If I Won The Lottery" Post

We've all done it before. You know, you see that the Lotto or Powerball is a huge number, and no one's won it yet, and you instantly speculate what you'd do with the money if you want it.

Most people are instantly surprised when they hear me talk about it, because a rather large chunk of it would go to friends and family.

If I Won The Lottery....

THE STUFF MOST PEOPLE SAY:

My parents would never work another day in their lives unless they wanted to (that one is a given for a lot of people I think).
My nieces and nephews would be set up to go to college (another given).
I'd go on vacation for a year and visit all the places I've always wanted to go.
I'd build myself the house of my dreams.

THE STUFF THAT SHOCKS PEOPLE THAT I SAY:

I'd buy a handful of Gold Con tickets, and they'd be given, along with an all expense paid trip, to people I know are huge fans of Lucy and Renee, and the show, but cannot afford to go to the Convention.
I'd charter a leer and fly from one end of the country to the other to pick em up.
2 friends I've had for years and years would instantly be put on my "staff". (And I didn't grow up with them, one currently lives in IL, the other in the middle of nowhere in IA).
An i-Bot would mysteriously appear at a friends house in AK.
A new wardrobe and a car would appear at a friends house in MO.
Several charities that are supported by Xena stars other than Lucy and Renee would get huge donations.
I'd fly several well deserving friends to NYC for a couple of weeks for a theatre trip. (and this one is cool b/c they're probably reading this and dont realize they're the friends being referenced to).
I'd fly down under to see a certain "Amazon" I know in person, just because I could and would want to.

And that's just getting started. People think I'm nuts b/c I'd give so much of it away. But I've always immediately spent what I've earned, and besides, you cant take it with you when you go.

2008 Burbank Xena Con--Wednesday

So we arrived, after dealing with driving rain, that turned into massive snow coming over the Grapevine, winds, and a few other things. So far, so good. Despite the renovations of the hotel. It'll just be easier if I do this, this way.

PROS:

Newly redesigned room not only looks better than the old ones did, our decor actually matches the party theme.
That new look includes a 40" Flat Panel TV in the living room.
Several fans, aside from us are already here, wanting to be here too for the march tomorrow. One of them even showed us her cleavage (to show us her awesome tattoo that's a combination of Lucy's Roxy poster from last year, and her tattoo shirt).
There are now 3 fast food places directly across the street from the hotel, so no more being stuck w/ the Daily Grill or the steep Room Service prices.

CONS:

My party is thrown all out of wack, because they're now in the process of redoing the lobby, and NOTHING is where it once was.
Its pouring rain off and on, so the march, and waiting for pre-reg tomorrow night are going to majorly suck.
The bathroom is smaller than the original suite layout had.
Did I mention the rain? And the cold?
I didnt manage to get my costume pants altered in time, so now I have to figure out what to do because I dont weigh enough to fit into them like they are now.

I'm hoping this weekend gets better and better....so that the rain, and the cold become insignifcant. And I have a feeling it will be. Lucy's been sending me subliminal messages since my trip to San Francisco on Saturday. Well, I call them subliminal messages. Everyone else thinks I'm just doing to much wishful thinking.

Oh well....their loss.

2 Weeks...And Way Too Much To Do

I have just 2 weeks left until the Convention (we're going down on the 23rd), and way to much to do to get ready for that.

Final check on all party supplies and materials
Costume pants must be taken in and altered.
All locations must be located on Mapquest, and a map printed for each (the hotel, the Roxy, NBC Studios)
Trip to Kinko's to print off all needed materials for the party
Pick up the rental car from Enterprise
Pack car
Pack luggage
Complete custom tshirts
Finalize head count for party
Call catering place and put in order for food at party
Website must be online
Reports must be done for Dave
Hair dyed to match for costume

And I'm sure there's a ton of other stuff I'm forgetting to mention too. I know we've still got to pick up a thing or two for the party. I just hope everything goes according to plan!

I'm so excited!!!!!

There's a bards brunch being held the Sunday night of the Convention, at 7pm. I really REALLY wanted to go, b/c I love to be around fellow writers, particularly from my own genre, there's such a vibe I draw off of them. But unfortunately, I thought it was out of the question because the tickets are $55, and my fundage is going to be really tight. They had set it up so that bards that wanted to attend, but couldn't afford to go, could be adopted, and I just got word that I was one of those chosen to be adopted.

Its all completely anon. , so I'll never know who my benefactor is, and they'll never know I'm the bard they supported.

I'm so excited. This is going to be good for me in so many ways its not funny. Its therapy if you will.

God...cant believe its right around the corner!

I feel so fucking lost and helpless right at this moment its not funny.

My daddy is in the hospital, and it doesn't look good.

At 5am CST he was rushed to the emergency room with severe chest pain, and his blood pressure skyrocketing out of control. This makes the 3rd time in as many weeks that he's had chest pain, but his blood pressure has never gotten like this.

Tomorrow they're doing the treadmill stress test on him, and I'm hoping to God they find what's causing this.

Either way, I'm probably going to be on the first flight out as soon as I can, and stay for as long as I have to. My mother is not going to stop me this time, I will not have what happened when my grandmother died happen again!

This is my daddy we're talking about!

Spice Girls Tickets

So, I got chosen to purchase Spice Girls tickets.

But I'm not going to.

Why? The cheapest are $70 each, with the floor level topping out at $120.

I would LOVE to see them, but that's half my airfare to go home for Christmas.

Oh well...perhaps they'll offer a DVD.

10 Reasons I Know I'm Weird

Really. I can prove it.

1. I just spent two days downloading a 7 disc collection called "TV's Greatest Hits". Well over 400 TV Show Theme songs.

2. I still like to color. Granted I've moved up to the adult version of the coloring books (the ones you can get at art & craft stores that are full of geometric shapes and stuff), but to me there's something therapeutic in it.

3. If that isnt bad enough, each piece in this coloring book not only has a title, but also places for the date its finished, and what type of medium I used.

4. I still watch cartoons, with a particular fondness for Tom and Jerry.

5. Despite my age, I'm still afraid of the dark.

6. I cant sleep in complete silence. TV or Radio has to be on.

7. Some of my favorite foods are Chef Boyardee, Count Chocula cereal, and Jello Pudding Cups.

8. My music taste runs the gamut, and I have an ability to identify a song literally seconds into it.

9. I actually own a copy of "SpiceWorld". (Guilty Pleasure)

10. I have a habit of writing my stories "out loud", meaning I talk and gesture through a scene before I type it.
